After the enormous success of the Titan Tube, Astera has created the double length Hyperion Tube, which measures just over 2 meters and around 80 inches. Double the LEDs, double the batteries, double the brightness, double the pixels and the same high-quality light with App, CRMX and on-tube control and wired DMX option.
The LunaBulb LED Bulb from Astera is a controllable LED light instrument with a compact form factor made to be used on set as a practical light source. It has a standard A19 bulb shape and an E26 base to fit into traditional lamps of any kind. The A19 bulb can be removed to reveal a narrower shape that allows positioning in tighter spaces. The LunaBulb is driven by the 5-color Titan LED engine, which creates white colors using an intelligent algorithm using red, green, blue, mint, and amber LEDs. Colors can be selected through RGB or HSI values, and green/magenta correction is available in 1% steps. Classic LEE and Rosco filters can also be easily emulated using the free AsteraApp for iOS and Android.
The first color-tunable LED bulb for professional film, stage and event productions. This highly controllable RGBMintAmber LED light has a compact form factor made to be used on film sets, exhibitions, or events—working perfectly as an eyelight, hidden backlight, or background accent. It has a standard E26 base and brings a refined Fresnel lens and a reliable optical system that delivers the exact beam you need. Its compact and lightweight body ensure easy positioning in tighter spaces and makes it a great alternative to the brand’s larger PlutoFresnel or QuikPunch luminaires.
Versatile Design
Use the 15W SolaBulb as a versatile downlight designed for film and events, enjoy its flattering architectural look, or use it to add creative flares in-camera. By simply turning the local barrel, the fixture can project a beam from 15 to 50°. The SolaBulb has a high CRI/TLCI rating of 96, indicating accuracy in the rendition of color for flattering skin tones. It features RGB, mint, and amber LEDs for quick access to custom colors and outputs up to 5228 lux at 3.3′, 15°, and 5500K.
Multiple Control Methods
The SolaBulb features an on/off button and supports a variety of control methods to suit any environment. The light is controllable via DMX, with RDM support, and wireless CRMX. The CRMX/UHF wireless range is up to 328′ and Bluetooth connectivity is from up to 9.8′. The AsteraApp enables full control over the SolaBulb and other compatible Astera fixtures, while offering setup features and real-time monitoring. Another option is the use of the optional White and FX remotes for RGB color mixing and dynamic lighting effects.
Power, Mounting & Optional Accessories
3/8″-16 and 1/4″-20 threads are available for rigging, and regarding power options, the SolaBulb is compatible with Astera’s optional battery-driven PowerStation. Fan-free operation means silent on set, but other applications include temporary setups in exhibitions or even shops, corporate events, dinners, or weddings. Emulate a traditional architectural downlight with the optional SolaSnoot. This optional accessory avoids stray light while increasing the contrast in its beam. It attaches directly to the front of the barrel to eliminate light spill, while creating a more intimate mood.
